Floating Carpet

Each water damage is different. Many times when a water damage occurs the pad and/or carpet are unable to be salvaged. In this case, the SERVPRO® of Springfield crew sets up air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the carpet and pad. The technique is called "floating the carpet". This means that equipment is set up in a way that maintains constant air flow between the carpet and the pad which accelerates the drying process and ensures both the pad and carpet are completely dry.
